At age 55 I had resigned myself to being pudgy. I ate when stressed, relaxed, sad, happy. Everyday there was an excuse to eat junk: cake at a party, fast food doing errands, pizza at a meeting, buttered popcorn at a movie. I was obsessed with food: if it was in front of me, I ate it. And I was anxious about not getting enough food: on vacation I ate a lot at every meal just in case I didn't get the next one, which I always did. I've tried many different diets;?
